What's that all about?
Well, that's what we're going to explore in this blog, pulling together threads from our earlier separate blogs. From 140 characters on Twitter to 300 page hardcover books ... a blog as your social media base camp ... a book as your business brochure ... what does "publishing" mean in our continually evolving digital world?
For several years, we've treated our WME Books book publishing and WME Blogs blogging/social media services as largely separate. And we've maintained separate blogs to talk about those areas. For example, A-ha! - Authors helping authors focused on writing, page layout, cover design, print-on-demand, online book marketing, and other book publishing topics. Business Blogging Boot Camp - WME Blogs examined writing, design, networking techniques, ROi, and other aspects of using blogs and social media as business tools.
Just describing those two blogs begins to expose the large overlaps in what are increasingly connected, increasingly digitally-driven, increasingly web-based ways for writers and businesses to communicate with their audiences. So as part of our overall redesign of our web presence and reorganization of our business, we're merging most of our blogs into this one.
More than what you have stated, what were the other reasons for the blog merging?
